About Us

Kearns Optical has been meeting the optical needs of the residents of Ajax and the surrounding area since 1975. We are the oldest independently owned optical in Ajax and we will be celebrating our 36th anniversary in 2011.

We are an independently owned and are not under contract to any corporation. We are able to order any spectacle or contact lens available on the market. We will always recommend the best.

Our goal is to provide our patients with  friendly service and help them make an informed decision about the newest products available. At Kearns Optical we always recommend a spectacle lens that will provide the best vision in accordance with prescription as well as the most aesthetically pleasing result. We provide the best value for the money and do not raise prices to leave room for artificial discounts such as  “2 for 1”.

We stand behind the products we supply. Our warranty on frames is minimum of one year, two years on most and some are warranted for three years or longer.

We have a lab on site and are able to provide one hour service; we fill most prescriptions within four days of order.
We also provide; repairs on-site, custom tinting, soldering, RGP polishing and adjustment, expertise in fitting contact lenses and children’s packages. If a patient is unable to come to the store, we provide in-home service by appointment.

All services are provided by a licensed Optician.
